[South Burlington, VT: May 11, 2026] The Business Bank announces the hiring of Scott Eaton of Merrimac, MA as Senior Vice President and New Hampshire Market President. Scott will lead the bank’s commercial lending, treasury services, and business development efforts from its new Portsmouth office located at 909 Islington Street, Suite 10.

Scott joins The Business Bank from Newburyport Bank and brings more than 25 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, treasury services, and relationship management. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Director of Treasury Services, a position he held for 5 years.

Scott has also shared his time and talents with a wide variety of organizations and initiatives, including the Rotary Club of Newburyport, the Newburyport Education Foundation Partnership Grant Committee, the Newburyport Literary Association Advisory Board, and the Salvation Army Advisory Board. Scott is a past board member of the Anna Jaques Hospital Charitable Foundation and Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and served on the chamber’s Economic Development Action Committee. Scott is currently a board member for Turning Point, Inc.
